An Update for our Church Family & Friends,
First, I want to remind us of Jesus’ words, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you” John 14:27.
This has been an interesting stretch of time for all of us and directives as to how to protect Canadians is changing every day. One thing about odd times like this is God always has a way to speak into our lives and use these situations as ways of pointing others to Christ. May you be blessed and a blessing to others in this season.
Our Church Board made the decision this evening to shut down our church services and programs for at least three weeks to start. We will continue to stay in tune of how things progress from there.
This, however, does not mean we are not ministering. The Board members will each have a list of people to check in on to make sure all are taken care of and prayed over. We will also be doing some type of live Sunday morning message with a playlist of songs selected by our worship folks. We will provide something like an online devotion for the youth group. Various Bible Study groups may use Rightnow media or other means to continue to study.
I will also be available by appointment at 306-897-0038 and the church will be open Tuesday to Friday from 9:00-11:00 am if you’d like to pray alone in the sanctuary or chat /pray with me.
As other things arise, we will notify you all as much as possible. Please also check for updates via our Facebook page. Regarding giving, a copy of the online giving form can be found on Facebook. Feel free to also call Stan Runne at 306-842-3581 or send your cheque to Calvary Baptist Community Church 1619 1st Ave NE, Weyburn, SK S4H 3E7.
Praying over you all. Even while social distancing, we are still the Body of Christ together.
